Essential Requirements

Title in History of Art, Conservation and Restoration, Archaeology or related field recognized internationally
Minimum 7 years of experience in the art market (gallery, auctions, museums, consulting) or art expert (5 years for high demand specialities)
ISA Certification (International Society of Appraisers), ASA (American Society of Appraisers) or internationally recognized equivalent
Professional civil liability insurance with international coverage (minimum €1,000.000 for high-value works)
Fluid English (minimum C1 level) and knowledge of specialized terminology of the international art market
Network of contacts in the art market ( auction houses, galleries, museums, analysis laboratories)
Experience documented with at least 30 cases of authentication, valuation or expert completed art
Capacity of writing technical reports in English with judicial validity and for insurers of fine arts
Knowledge of international regulations: UNESCO conventions on illicit trafficking, export regulations on cultural property
